Amy Tara Koch is a style expert, author, journalist and all-around
fashion aficionado. She the trend reporter for NBC (WMAQ-TV) and
contributes to American Baby, Pregnancy, Mom and People.com’s Mom and Baby, The New York Times, The New York Observer, Travel & Leisure, American Way, Self, NPR and The Huffington Post. Koch has served as columnist for the Chicago Tribune
and the fashion and beauty expert/editor for iVillage. Koch produced
and hosted THE INC. LIFE, an online trend program for Inc. magazine.
Koch is also a style expert for Vogue and Twitter Moms. Koch’s first book BUMP IT UP: TRANSFORMING YOUR PREGNANCY INTO THE ULTIMATE STYLE STATEMENT was published by Random House/Ballantine in March 2010 and immediately touted as a must-read by outlets from the New York Times to Glamour Magazine.
In
addition to her media presence, Koch is in-demand as a speaker and
consultant. She fires up an audience, convincing them that trends and
style are applicable and accessible. Her clients range from Pampers,
Tide, La Croix, Frederic Fekkai, W Hotels, Macy’s, Unilever, Foote,
Cone & Belding, the Chicago Fashion Foundation, The School of the
Art Institute of Chicago and McDonald's Corporation. This September,
Koch curated the GILT GROUPE’s first high profile maternity sale and
launched a premium pre-natal pampering package with the Peninsula
Hotels called BUMP IT UP BLISS.
For the
past eighteen years, Amy Tara Koch has worked in the high powered world
of fashion, beauty and media. She began her career in New York City
working in the fashion departments of Mademoiselle, Paper and Buzz
magazines. Koch then served as Marketing and Public Relations Director
for BCBG Max Azria in Los Angeles. In 1999, she founded her eponymous
public relations and marketing agency handling celebrity relations,
events and marketing for clients like Allure, YM, Van Cleef &
Arpels, Bottega Veneta, Avon, Sony, Stila Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown
Cosmetics and American Eagle Outfitters. This September, the GILT
GROUPE is featuring its first high-profile maternity sale curated and
styled by Amy Tara Koch.
